Hi, I’m Brooke

A passionate Psychotherapist, Founder and Heart of this business.

My life has been an abundant rollercoaster of lived experiences through which I have grown, learned, survived, thrived, changed, gained, grieved, loved, lost, and started over anew.  From devastating loss to extreme joy, I have experienced them all.

It is my purpose to provide life-changing therapy and coaching that supports people to heal, to be empowered and to grow, so that they too can heal from their experiences and live a life they love!

About Me

A single mother with two amazing children, I currently live on the East Coast of Australia. Throughout my life, I have experienced various traumatic events and although emotionally painful, these experiences have strengthened my understanding of emotional trauma from both a professional and a personal perspective.

I grew up in Sydney, as part of a loving family. During my teenage years I experienced lots of difficulties with accepting myself and in believing I was enough. Struggling through different emotional traumas, I realised that my power was always in my present moment and at the age of 16, I started to set goals for myself based on the life I wanted to live and I embarked on my own journey of self-help, self-discovery and healing.

When I finished school, I started my corporate career with a leading Global Management Consultancy and over the next 15 years I worked as a Human Resources Specialist in Australia and Overseas, for some of the world’s most prestigious firms, doing a job I enjoyed and living a life I loved.  I travelled the world, married my then husband whom I met in the UK, and I lived a rich, fulfilled and meaningful life. But it wasn’t without devastatingly hard times too.

During my 20’s I developed a life threatening medical condition, which I was lucky to survive, twice.

Then during my early to mid 30’s, I experienced a series of devastating life-changing events that totally changed the course of my life. With the only way to move being forwards, I made big choices in how I wanted to think, how I wanted to feel, how I wanted to act, and the life I wanted to create for myself and for my children. I took the time and the opportunity to ask myself truly and deeply “Who am I and what is my purpose?”  Peeling back the layers I was exposed down to my core and the answer was revealed to me, the message was clear: “I am here to help people who have experienced painful situations that are out of their control”.  This was a major turning point in my life.

Living in a new city with a baby and a toddler, I studied, changed careers, set new goals for myself and ventured out on my new path in life – working with people who had experienced all kinds of emotional and physical traumas: with a focus on healing, empowerment and growth.

How I Created Change

Throughout my life, I have continued to acknowledge, release and heal from my own painful lived experiences; focused on self-healing, self-empowerment and growth, even on the tough days!  Life is a constant and ever-changing journey.  I make room for my emotions and I acknowledge all parts of me. I take valued action based on what I can control and let be what I cannot.  Through allowing myself to feel my emotions, I also allow myself to heal, and in doing so I set myself free from anything that does not serve me, connecting effortlessly with the truth of who I am, and always knowing that I am enough.

Since my teenage years, I’ve learned so much about how the mind works, and the correlation between our emotions, thoughts and feelings, and I developed a deep understanding that our power is always in our present moment.

During my life I have looked within myself to find the strength, courage, determination, self-love, self-belief, self-compassion and self-acceptance that I need.  For I know that even in our darkest moments where we may feel that everything is lost, the pain is too great, and we don’t know how to go on,  the very strength and the answers we need are always within us – sometimes we just need help and support to find it.

I am a strong and passionate believer that, regardless of what trauma you have experienced, you can live a life you love, according to your values.  I know this to be true, because I have done this myself and supported my clients to do this too.

My non-judgmental, trauma informed approach focuses not on “what’s wrong with you”, but instead on “what’s happened to you” and that makes all the difference.  In my work I empower clients to heal from past and present emotional trauma. Together, we navigate difficult emotions and experiences by working through the root of the problem rather than focusing solely on the situational effects.

With therapy and coaching experience in all types of trauma including adult and childhood trauma, domestic and family violence, relationship issues, and significant life events, and my genuine, positive and non-judgmental approach enables clients to work through the situations they are experiencing to reach their desired outcome.

No matter what you have been through, or what you may be going through right now, I understand how hard it can be and although at times it may feel like it, you are not alone.

Whilst we cannot change the past, we can change the way it affects us in the present and we can choose what we take of it into our future.

The time has come to unburden and unlock yourself from anything that may be holding you back. It is so liberating to let yourself be free.

With much love, light and great, big hugs.
